I haven't stopped knitting, but I'm just too lazy to take pictures & post all my projects. I just keep putting it off.

I uploaded these phone pics to my picasa album last summer. I guess I'll post these for now, and the rest later.

Knitted this "Apple Blossom Cardigan" for Alana last spring. (http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/apple-blossom-cardigan)

The original pattern size is newborn - 6mo, and it calls for worsted weight yarn & sz 10 needles.. I used Caron Simply Soft Quick and sz 13 needles.

I finished the "Balthazar Vest" and it came out nice, but I know I'll never wear a bulky fushia pink vest out in public.. I'll probably frog this & knit some hats/scarves/mittens later.

So instead of going to sleep last night (i mean, early this morning @ 3:30am), I finished knitting the hat. I really love how this came out.., it fits my big head perfectly. :)

Back in early Dec, I recycled the yarn from a scarf and knitted the "banana republic knockoff hat".
well, since then i've only worn that hat once, because i don't like it much anymore. BUT i love that yarn.. so i decided to frog the hat and start on the Chunky slouch cap, pattern by Melissa Hills (from kpixie.com)
So I started this hat earlier tonight while watching 24 on hulu.. I CO 44 sts, using a size11 16" circular needles, and this knitting up so fast.. i'm half way there, and i love how it's coming out so far.

I have a problem..

..of starting too many knit/crochet projects, but never finishing them. It's just that there are so many patterns that look soooo nice, and I can't seem to choose just one or two. So I start all these projects, and it takes me forever to finish just one.

Anyway, this is one of my recent almost-but-not-yet-finished project...
This is the Balthazar Vest from "Twinkle's Big City Knits" book, and I'm using Brown Sheep Co. Burly Spun Yarn on a size 19 needle, so it's a very fast knit. This is maybe 3 or 4hrs of work?
Anyway, the body and one of the shoulder/sleeve is done, so I only have to do the other shoulder and the collar and I'm done... Hopefully I'll finish this by tomorrow, so I can move onto my other not-yet completed projects.

Neck Warmer

so I finally finished the neckwarmer. The pattern calls for a cashmere yarn, but I don't have cashmere money.. so I used the caron simply soft yarn a friend gave me. I'm not a fan of acrylic yarn, but simply soft was.. well.. soft.., not bad at all to work with.
Anyway, I like it, but I think it came out too big and too droopy. I followed the pattern exactly and casted on 90 stitches, but I think I'll CO 72 sts next time. I was going to give this onr to my mom, but I think I'll keep this one, and make her another one. Maybe in a cream color, instead of this mint green one.

Woohoo!!! I won a $20 gift certificate from Jaybird Designs for being their 1000th customer! But I won by downloading a free pattern.., so is that cheating? Anyway, I'm going to have a very hard time picking out only $20 worth of patterns... Right now, I'm looking at the felted purse pattern, babydoll top pattern, triangle halter pattern, spring fling halter pattern, market bag pattern, and the tooth fairy pillow pattern. Oh, and the beanie collection II pattern... I'm really liking that pink/brown beanie.

Anyway, couple of months back, I made the retro rings tam hat for Alana. Since Alana is in school, here is me modeling her hat:

For the hat, I pretty much followed the "Banana Republic Hat Knockoff" pattern, by metaphysical_muse from craftster, but instead of seed stitch, I used garter stitch for the band. Since I didn't have sz10.5 DPNs, I used my sz8 16" circulars. The yarn I used is recycled from a(n ugly) garter stitch scarf I knitted last year.. It feels like Burley Spun, but I'm not sure.
I had some yarn left over, so I knitted a pair of matching fingerless mitts.

I usually knit in my office, in front of the computer.. that way, there's no need to print out the pattern. :)
